Alexander McQueen Memorial

Designers, Editors, models and many others from the fashion industry, all took a break from Fashion Week events world-wide, to pay tribute to our lost, Alexander McQueen (1934-2010). Hundreds of people gathered outside the steps of St. Pauls to pay their respects for Alexander. This was a moment that represented warmth and love within the fashion industry, you will always be missed, and forever in our hearts, Alexander.
 ,

Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and Sarah Jessica Parker all wore his creations - Kate wore a black pencil skirt with a tuxedo jacket, Naomi wore a black feathered piece with gold platform boots, and Sarah wore a black trench over a white dress.

Anna Wintour, Pam Hogg, Stella McCartney, and Jefferson Hack were also present at Alexander's memorial, all wearing black as well. The moment that captivated everyone's heart, was Bjork's performance. Bjork performed a song she produced from the poem, "Gloomy Sunday", which was written by Laszlo Javor in 1936. Her song translated an image of a beautiful man who confronted his death. Bjork looked like an angel wearing an ornate dress with wings and a jeweled headpiece.
Alexander McQueen's unexpected death took us all by surprise, when he was found dead in a wardrobe at his flat in Mayfair, central London, the day before his mother's funeral. He apparently hung himself after consuming a cocktail of cocaine, sleeping pills, and tranquillizers. Alexander had a history of depression and anxiety - it's been said that he was suffering from his mother's death and researched suicide online before he took his life. May he R.I.P forever.
